It’s not every day that a product keeps company with artifacts from 300 B.C. Our partnership with Toronto-based Bestobell Aquatronix has afforded SenSource a sneak peek into the Royal Ontario Museum as we join with Bestobell Aquatronix to help museums around the world protect priceless treasures.
For Royal Ontario Museum, Bestobell Aquatronix used SenSource temperature and humidity sensors to monitor environmental conditions inside the display cases of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Bestobell Aquatronix used SenSource technical support to assist in the initial set-up of Vea Monitoring Software. The Royal Ontario Museum took advantage of both Bestobell Aquatronix and SenSource support to implement Vea Software’s custom features and integration. One of its most valuable features is alerting museum staff in the event of the temperature and/or humidity falling outside of the set controlled range. These alerts are essential to maintain the preservation of priceless artifacts such as the Dead Sea Scrolls.
With installations like this and others, Bestobell Aquatronix educates its customers on general product and software usage, but contacts the SenSource technical support staff with challenging situations.
“We make our customers aware of the technical support available to them at SenSource, as well as the staff here at Bestobell Aquatronix. We encourage our customers to contact SenSource with questions regarding the products and software,” stated Ryan Kershaw, Bestobell Aquatronix sales representative.
In addition to installations like this, Bestobell Aquatronix works with the healthcare industry, power generation plants and building automation, providing product instrumentation and control. SenSource and Bestobell Aquatronix have been working together providing products to the museum industry since 2005.
“SenSource has great customer service. We work with a number of companies, and the SenSource staff is one of the best to work with,” declared Kershaw.
Currently museums are the top customers purchasing the SenSource products as marketed by Bestobell Aquatronix, but more industries are showing interest in gaining valuable, near-real time environmental condition data. For example, the healthcare industry is starting to implement wireless temperature and humidity sensors to monitor storage areas containing sterilized equipment.
“We sell the SenSource environmental sensor systems to any applicable industry. With SenSource’s new wireless sensors, we anticipate the number or applications for the products to increase even further,” explains Kershaw.
SenSource looks forward to continuing a successful and strong partnership with Bestobell Aquatronix as more industries begin implementing wireless sensor in the Ontario and Montreal areas.
