At SenSource, we are excited to watch the success and growth of our clients. Our people counters play a pertinent role in justifying the expansion of facilities such as the recent renovation at Boise State Student Union. The January 2010 Bulletin of the Association of College Unions International, ACUI, explains the need for the Student Union’s expansion:
“During the past 10 years, student enrollment increased from 14,000 to 20,000. And daily building counts grew by 15 percent annually over the last six years to 7,000 daily. It was time for the Student Union to expand.” … Read More

With all of today’s many innovations, when is it justifiable for your business to invest in new technology? This is just the question posed at a seminar during last month’s Public Library Association Conference in Portland, Oregon. Lori Bowen Ayre from the Galecia Group, Fresno County Public Library’s Kathleen Smith and Salt Lake County Library’s Associate Director, Gretchen Freeman applied a traditional cost-benefit analysis, with a Jane Austen inspired twist, to determine when a new technology project is justified for implementation. It’s not every day that a product keeps company with artifacts from 300 B.C. Our partnership with Toronto-based Bestobell Aquatronix has afforded SenSource a sneak peek into the Royal Ontario Museum as we join with Bestobell Aquatronix to help museums around the world protect priceless treasures.
For Royal Ontario Museum, Bestobell Aquatronix used SenSource temperature and humidity sensors to monitor environmental conditions inside the display cases of the Dead Sea Scrolls.

We enjoyed the company of our friendly exhibit hall neighbors, Debbie and the rest of the staff at Xerox FreeColorPrinters and Marilyn and Emily from the CLCD Company, LLC . The CLCD is an internet-based service providing acquisition, research and references to over 2 million MARC records and 450,000 reviews of children’s publications.

While the cold weather of the Northeast followed us south, we had a great visit to Atlanta attending the HiMSS Annual Conference and Exhibit at the Georgia World Congress Center last week. It was a pleasure meeting with healthcare information and management systems exhibitors and gaining industry knowledge while covering more than 359,000 square feet of exhibit hall space.
