Approaching the close of the first quarter, 2010 is off to a great start here at SenSource. As our company grows, we continue to maintain the same company objectives and commitment as our launch in 2002. We are dedicated to exceeding expectations by providing innovative solutions and first-rate technical support to satisfy our individual clients’ needs.
Thanks to our clients, associates and employees, last year was another year of growth and success for our company. We increased sales by 25% and are on our way to an anticipated 30% for this year. Not only has sales shown a jump, but our company size is rapidly growing as well, with staff increasing by 20% last year and an additional two employees already on board in 2010.
New markets are continually arising within the people, vehicle and automation counting industries as well as the environmental sensing industry, each with their own unique application for our products. Our involvement in four separate industries provides a wide base against the recent past economic downturn. Individually, each industry protects itself from economic hard times by providing products applicable to a wide variety of markets.
Recently we have extended our people counting target to include university student unions. Counting traffic on campus provides data with numerous applications – from placement of organizational campaigns to scheduling janitorial staff. Within the environmental sensing industry, we’ve extended use to include the healthcare industry providing pertinent near real-time temperature and humidity data to monitor compliance with Joint Commission standards. We continually research and anticipate new applications for SenSource products and are excited to enter new markets this year.
We look forward to the expansion and future of our industries and to gaining new markets and client relationships along the way.
