In the sports world, there’s a term called, Glue Guy. A glue guy is a person on the team who’s going to keep everyone loose, keep everyone laughing, but is also going to bring 100% effort every single game. We have the pleasure of introducing you to our glue guy, Brendon!

What is your SenSource story?

I started in March of 2015, I’ve been here nine years. It’s quite a long time and goes by really fast. How I got started with SenSource was a little bit of being at the right place at the right time, some “who do you know”, and some effort on my part. My family knows the co-owner of SenSource, Kevin, so I came in for an interview when the position was open, one thing led to another, I got hired, and the rest is history.

What does a day in the life of an account manager look like?

As an account manager here at SenSource, it’s my responsibility to make sure that the needs of our clients, both new and existing, are being met. Whether that’s filling out a sales order, getting them in touch with support personnel, or answering questions about our system, that’s really what my day-to-day responsibilities are.

What do you enjoy most about your role at SenSource?

So what I like most about my role here at SenSource is getting to build a relationship with clients. I find it’s really important to get to know our clients and that often just helps with the business side of things.

Favorite work-related travel?

This is a tough one! In nine years, I’ve been to a lot of places for tradeshows and visiting clients – Chicago; Port Huron, Michigan; Austin, Texas; Washington D.C.; New York City. I’m from New Jersey so I’ve spent a lot of time in New York City, it’s just always been near and dear to my heart and just a favorite place of mine. It’s my favorite because the food is just outstanding, it’s elite, especially the pizza – Shout out to Luigi’s! Shout out to Di Fara’s in Brooklyn!

What’s the most complex counting application you’ve worked on?

As far as a complex application that I’ve been a part of, really anything that’s guest or customer journey oriented is always complex. It involves a lot of moving parts, getting our support team involved with sales here, and sometimes development. It’s a lot of hardware and a lot of data that goes into that and are often the most complex applications.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?

The main thing hanging out with my family – my wife and three kids. They’re very little and into a bunch of different activities. I coach them in their youth sports with their friends. I never thought that I’d love that, but I really do. I golf, I’m not good. I’m also an avid Buckeye and New York Jets fan, so a lot of my time outside of work is spent watching those teams compete – it doesn’t always bring me joy – but I like it enough to keep me coming back for more.

What’s your favorite thing about SenSource?

So my favorite thing about SenSource is the people that I work with on a daily basis. I think everyone brings something different to the table, these aren’t just my coworkers, I view them as my friends. I talk to them more than just about work, what’s going on with life, and things like that. I think that’s really important for having a good work environment. Here at SenSource, you’re guaranteed to laugh. I love to laugh and joke around. SenSource allows me to do this a lot – maybe too much – but I appreciate that.
