Whether you have a complex support issue or just want to talk Pittsburgh Steelers, our longtime employee, Don Fairall, is your guy!
What is your SenSource story?
I’ve been here for about 12 years. I’m long-time friends with Greg and Brian, we went to school together and have known each other since eighth grade. I was made aware of the position at SenSource and knew Greg and Brian worked here and that’s how I got started.
What are your day-to-day responsibilities?
My day-to-day responsibilities are tech-related, like solving problems, performing web demos, and training, I’ve pretty much done it all in the twelve years I’ve been here. I’m happy to help with anything that comes my way.
What do you enjoy the most about your career?
I enjoy training the most actually. I get the most gratification out of sharing my current knowledge with others and seeing them use it to complete their own tasks.
What is the vibe in the support department?
It’s pretty chill for the most part. We all work really well together, whether it’s individually or a group effort. We’re all really positive, always laughing and keeping each other boosted-up.
How do you mentor newer team members?
I’m just always trying to pass down my knowledge to the other guys. From everything I’ve learned from Joe and Kevin early on about being honest with the customer and all of the good things I’ve learned along the way, I try to pass that on. I know how that feels to be kind of lost or unable to proceed further, so I always try to pass that knowledge on.
What are your hobbies outside of work?
When I’m not in the office, I like to watch football. I’m a diehard Steelers fan, that probably takes a lot of my time. I also like to online game, I like Battle Royale, and anything my kids are into.
What is your favorite thing about SenSource?
Probably the people, I’ve always enjoyed working with everyone here. We always have a really good common goal, which is trying to do the best we can. We like to have parties and play games, we’re always doing fun things around here, there’s always something entertaining.
What is your favorite SenSource memory?
My favorite memory working at SenSource is probably when I got my first raise. I remember getting pulled into Kevin’s office and it was semi-stressful because I didn’t know what it was about. He gave me my first raise and just that affirmation about having a nice solid job was probably my most memorable moment. And he also told me I was an awesome employee and it was just a really good moment.
