If you’ve recognized the need for tracking foot traffic at your business but have a unique setup that makes you unsure if counting sensors would be suitable, then this video is for you!
Today we’ll take a look at five models offered by SenSource and which scenarios each is best for. Let’s dive in.
We’re continually testing sensor technology to find the most accurate, versatile, and reliable devices for our customers. We’re proud to offer an array of sensors to meet the needs of the everyday customer and those with some unique scenarios.
Standard – VIDX-SE
This is our bread-and-butter device used for a majority of applications. This automatic people counter can be mounted from 7.5 to 19 feet high and typically covers a single or double-door entryway. Thousands of libraries, retailers, and others around the world are using the VIDX-SE sensor to track foot traffic.
Outdoor Standard People Counter
Our standard sensor is also available in a rugged, outdoor enclosure. It offers the same accuracy and consistency as the indoor version, but expands applications into the elements. Amusement parks will often use this sensor for measuring ride wait times and we have several ski resorts using this sensor to monitor ski lift wait times and queue lengths.
Wide-View – VIDX-SE-UL
Now if your application is indoor and you have a wide area to cover, such as 3 sets of doors, and you have an average ceiling height for mounting, then we’d suggest the VIDX-SE-UL wide-angle lens sensor. It has the same mounting height range as the standard, but the wide-angle lenses enable it to cover a broader tracking area. Oftentimes, museums and casinos have multiple sets of doors entering a vestibule where one wide-view sensor is a perfect fit, compared to purchasing two standards.
High-Mount – VIDX3
The next sensor is our VIDX3 model and it’s used for high mounting applications. It can be installed from 20 to 65 feet high while delivering reliable performance and consistent accuracy. Airports and sports venues are common places you’ll find a high-mount sensor for tracking visitor traffic patterns.
Outdoor High Mount
Finally, we have the outdoor model of the VIDX3 high-mount sensor. It offers the same functionality as its indoor counterpart, while protected by a rugged outdoor-rated enclosure and network connection. This is a great option for amusement parks, amphitheaters, and festivals.
We know choosing the right people counting sensor for your unique setup is critical to effectively tracking foot traffic and gaining valuable insights. Whether you need a standard model for typical applications, a rugged outdoor option for harsh environments, or a wide-view sensor for expansive areas, SenSource has you covered.
To extend our coverage even further, we offer a wide variety of mounting accessories to accommodate specific installation scenarios, regardless of the sensor model selected.
